The pump functions as either a centrifugal or mixed-flow pump, equipped with water-lubricated bearings and a solid connection to the motor through a coupling. The motor powers the pump's impeller, creating centrifugal force that increases the energy of the liquid and elevates water through the diversion of the pump casing. A check valve is positioned at the upper end of the pump to prevent the backflow of water in the pumping pipe, which could potentially damage operational components when the pump is deactivated. Furthermore, a drain hole on the valve facilitates the gradual release of water in the pipeline, thus averting freezing and cracking during the winter season.
